Four screws, two clips and five minutes. Your Field 01 is ready for another five years.
After four or five years every rechargeable battery starts to fade. On most headphones that is the end. On a Field 01 it is a five-minute job.
What you need
A new Baffle battery, the small Torx screwdriver that came in the box, and a clean table. No glue, no heat gun, no warranty sticker to break.
Four screws, two clips
Pull off the left ear cushion — it is held by magnets. Undo the four screws under it, lift the cover and unclip the battery connector. The new battery drops into the same space.
If you can change a bicycle tyre, you can repair a pair of Baffle headphones.
Recycle the old one
Put the old battery in the box the new one came in and send it back with the prepaid label. We recycle every cell we get back.
